15 June 2004:

General agreement between the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC), Autoroutes du Sud de la France Group (ASF) and Modalohr in order to set up a think tank concerning rail-road link projects between North and South of France.

April 2005:

Group members decided to go ahead and to engage a second step aiming to go into detail the project feasibility and to set up the special purpose corporation.

July 2005:

CDC, ASF and Modalohr signed a second agreement aiming to carry out the project and to define financing.

Autumn 2005:

The French national rail company SNCF and CFL (National rail company of Luxembourg ) joined up with the three historical sponsors.

12 December 2005:

The partners signed a general agreement that confirmed their commitment, in order to launch the Perpignan-Luxembourg rail-road service on the 31st March 2007. Several partners have signed and are involved : the French minister for Transport, Autoroutes du Sud de la France Group , the Caisse des dépôts et Consignations, the SNCF-Participations, the French network operator (Réseau Ferré de France), the manufacturing industry Modalohr, the French rail company SNCF, the Transport professional organization « Transport et Logistique de France » and the French Transport Infrastructure Financing Agency (AFITF).

30 January 2006:

The sponsors announced officially the future setting-up of the special purpose corporation responsible for developing, promoting and marketing the first long distance rail-road link in Europe.

29 March 2006:

The Lorry-Rail S.A. company was set up to drive commercial and operational strategy (asset equal to 5 millions euros).
Nicolas Welsch is nominated Chief Executive Officer.

3 April 2006:

The Ministers for Transport of France and Luxembourg signed a joint declaration relating to the Perpignan-Luxembourg rail-road Link. They highlighted their support for the project.

29 March 2007:

Opening ceremony of the first loading of railcars and first freight traffic on the Luxembourg-Perpignan rail-road link.

10th september 2007:

First commercial circulation in presence of Mr. Lucien Lux, luxembourger Minister of Transports.
